I’ve installed my LCD, but now my screen has only a white color and no text. What do I do?
You can try holding down the reset buttons (Menu along w/ the center button for 7 seconds) to reset the iPod. This might resolve your issue. If you continue to have problems like this, reinstall your original screen again to see graphics and text can be seen (even though it is cracked). If the same issue occurs, there might be more wrong with your iPod than just the screen.
Should I backup my iPod before sending it in?
Typically most of the information contained on the iPod is retained within iTunes, iPhoto and Address book already there is no need. However, if you use your iPod in 'Disk Mode' (as an external drive in other words), you might consider backing up the information stored on the iPod. While we don't usually touch the data on an iPod for a simple screen replacement, or battery install, data loss can occur at any time.
Should I include any cables with the iPod when I ship it in?
No. Please do not send any cables in with the iPod.
