- You can try holding down the reset buttons (Menu along w/ the center button for 7 seconds) to reset the iPod. This might resolve your issue. If you continue to have problems like this, reinstall your original screen again to see graphics and text can be seen (even though it is cracked). If the same issue occurs, there might be more wrong with your iPod than just the screen.
