Recycled cobalt from Li-ion batteries can be used in the production of magnet alloy, ceramics as well as by aircraft and aerospace manufacturers. Proper disposal of these batteries prevents them from ending up in landfills where they have the potential to cause serious harm including contamination of ground water supplies.
